Last day at old job and new hair

Wow.
Could I look any more like my mom in this pic?
Seriously.

Well this is my new hair cut - not so different - but I like my bangs. The girl styled my hair like Bridget Bardot. It's cool.

I made it black and white because I haven't had a chance to dye it yet and the current color (in pics) makes me vomit in my mouth a little.

Mocha is the new color and I just hope it turns out how I want it.

Yeh for my last day! It wasn't sad or anything - I guess I was ready. So over it.

We have absolutely nothing planned for this weekend - and that's just how we want it.

:)

Have a happy 4th!

Love,

The Beans

THE CABIN!

Ahhhhhhh so much fun :)

Just so you know - the cabin rocks the house. Stace and I had the best relaxing time. We watched movies, went for a bike ride, played catch, played rummy, cooked some awesome cabin food, killed a spider the size of my head, swam on the floaties, and Stace caught a HUGE scary Northern while we were in the paddle boat!!!

Ok here is Stacy's fish story:
We woke up and decided to go and get some minnows from the market to fish with. We got the minnows and some bobbers and got prepared to fish. We went out about 20 feet from shore in the paddle boat and started to fish. I had just lost my first minnow when Stacy screamed "I GOT ONE!" She reeled in a 19 inch Northern! We were screaming and flailing because the fish was flopping around in the bottom on the paddle boat! We had to paddle to shore to get the hook out of it's mouth and to take a few pics. It was so exciting!

Here are some pics of the cabin trip - even the dogs had a blast! They look so cute together - and don't you love the one where Carmela is sunbathing on the towel? It's hilarious how much she loves the Sun.

Good news!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh the Cabin was good.

VERY stress free and we had fun!

I came home to a house taken over by boys and computers - so I have yet to get the pics off the camera and on to my computer. But that should happen tonight because we are rearranging the computers to the dining room and setting them up.
So I'll write about our cabin adventures tomorrow.

Sooooo member when I kept saying I needed to get a new job,I hate everyone here, and I'm so bored here I could poo?

Well I did it! Wait - I didn't poop - I GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!!!!

It feels so good to be leaving here and starting somewhere new. I found out that I got the job Monday afternoon, just as we got back into town from the cabin. My last day here is Friday.
This is so awesome! It pays more money, it's a better company, and such a relief!

I start next Wednesday after the 4th of July. I will be doing the same thing as I am now - an Office Manager - but I will be part of the core management team with the owner's of the company, I will be managing more people, and there are more departments of the company that I will be involved in.

Best of all - I know I will be appreciated. They need an Office Manager there, I'm not going to be filling someone else shoes, so I will get to pave my own path.

Yeh!

I'm treating myself to a little makeover for my new fresh start - tonight I'm dying my hair, Friday I'm getting it cut, and then I want to go and get a mani and a pedi sometime before Wednesday.
Since Friday is my last day here and I don't start until next Wednesday, I get a long weekend to get my house together too. I'm going to organize our closets and get rid of some clothes. Since we are moving the computers out of the 2nd bedroom - I'll be putting our old bed in there and actually using it as a guest room - but it will also still be my art room.

This is all so great for me - I can't wait to tell you all about my first day!

I'll try to post pics of my new look too :)

DUDE!

Good god am I bored.

Seriously, seriously bored.

I'm at work and it's so slow - I have NOTHING to do!

So I'll just tell you all about the weird ass dream I had last night...

I had a dream that Travis and I had twin boys - one with Red hair dressed in a green striped onesie and one with no hair in a blue striped onesie( I had no hair until I was 2 - and Trav had red hair). We couldn't decide on what to name them and in the mean time I had given birth to a baby girl - I didn't say her name in my dream so I don't know what we named her - and then to another baby boy, whom we named Owen - but in my dream all 4 babies were stayed the same age - and miraculously I was able to carry around all 4 of them on my own. So there I was at the kitchen counter making 4 bottles for four babies - who by the way were all just laying on the counter next to me nice and quiet. For some reason I was making the bottles with formula and milk - I have no idea why I was making them with milk - but by the time I was done making all 4 - The gallon of milk was almost gone and so was the container of formula. I made a comment to Trav "How can we go through a gallon of milk and a container of formula a day!" He was just sitting there with his mouth open. So I grabbed the bottles and went to grab all the babies - they were all staying quiet and still except the red haired twin in the green onesie - he had grabbed a knife and was trying to suck on it. I grabbed it from him - he wasn't hurt at all. So I scooped up all my children and went to Trav and asked him which two he wanted to feed. Before he could answer - I said I thought that we should finally name the twins - and I suggested that we name them Frankie and Charlie.
Then my dream ended.

Weird I know.
Cute - but weird.

I haven't found a theme for my blog yet - I was thinking something along the lines of Netflixing different exercise videos and trying them out and giving the reviews here on my blog. Whaddya think? Would you read a blog about that? I'm still not sure, but I think that's a pretty good idea.

I've been riding my bike lately, I forgot how much fun it was to ride my bike - it's been about 7 years since I've been on a bike! I found this awesome bike path near my house and it's great. I rode a little too far the other night though. I wanted to see how far the bike trail went - but before I knew it I was too far past my house and I was REALLY tired. I made it home and crashed into bed right away.

See how freekin bored I am! I'm talking about bike riding for crying out loud!

Seriously, seriously bored.

p.s. I just did spell check and when it came to "freekin" it suggested "foreskin." Haahaahaa!

Could it BE any longer since I've last posted?

Wow.

Has is been that long already? Well I will have you know - even though I went through a bout of boredom with posting - does not mean all of yours went unread.
I still have my daily routine of checking the posts of all the cool cats who read mine.
I have yet to post, mostly because I've had not much going on. Literally.

I have been so bored at work lately (not because of slacking, but for shear lack of shit to do), I have discovered the awesomeness of Wikipedia, and have been getting paid for learning instead of, well, working.
Interesting tidbits on many people, places and things such as: Benjamin Franklin (who rocks), Marilyn Monroe, Jesus, Leonardo DaVinci, New York City (which gives me a huge boner), Isaac Newton, The Mediterranean Diet, Domino Harvey and many more. I have something new to learn about everyday.
I'm calling it now - Wikipedia is the new Google. Just remember who said it first, bitches.

Needless to say - I have not been keeping up very well with my exercising - I have continued, but not quite consistently. I Netflix'd Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease - the review: Not as great as I had hoped.
I love Carmen Electra - seriously wish I looked exactly like her - but her personality in the video is just annoying. She giggles after every little thing. It reminds me of in high school, when a popular girl would get up to do something in front of the class or a group of people, and she would be nervous and giggle at her friends still sitting down - like they were the only ones there, then do what she was up there to do - and then laugh again with her friends.
It was actually kinda cheezy. Not to mention - not that great of a work out. I never once got out of breath or felt like I was "working out."
I give it two potato chips out of 5 - for the scant choreography.
Next on the que: Yoga in Bed
I have high expectations for this one - anything that lets me exercise and be lazy at the same time gets a big thumbs up - if I can muster it.

Sill eating good. In fact I made this killer southwestern style dip last night that I want to share with you - I tried to find a recipe for some stuff I had from left-overs and some ingredients I needed to use up before they went bad - and I couldn't find anything - so I made one up myself. I liked it a lot (I ate half the bowl for dinner last night), and even Trav liked it - and he's not really a dip person. Please try it and let me know what you think:

Bean's Creamy Chunky Mole
( I even made the name up myself - and it's not "Mole" like on a mole on your arm - but -
"Mole" as in Guacamole)

1 avocado
1/2 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
1/2 can corn
1/4 cup red onions, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tablespoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic herb seasoning (optional) (you could substitute with garlic powder)
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/3 cup fat free sour cream

Directions:
In a big enough bowl - mix together - black beans (make sure you rinse them really good because any of that "juice" will make your dip turn gray- ick!) corn, onions, garlic, cumin, chili powder, and garlic herb seasoning (or garlic powder). Chop avocado in it's skin as many times as you can down and across to make little square shapes - and spoon into the mixture. Add lime juice directly to the avocado - then gently mix in. Add the sour cream gently so you don't smash the avocado (unless you prefer it that way).
Serve with blue corn tortilla chips. Enjoy!

I juiced 1/2 a lime with my hands and Trav said it was little too lime-y, so I suggest just two tablespoons - or enough to thoroughly coat the avocado and still give it a lime taste. Also, you can add more or less black beans if you'd like, I know some folks are not too fond of black beans. Same goes for the chili powder(or cayenne, use any spicy spice you like), some like it hot - mine was not spicy at all - just flavorfull. Travie thinks fricken ketchup is spicy - so I refrain from the spicy stuff as much as I can - unless I don't want him to eat it :)
I made a little batch to test if I would like the sour cream in there or not - and it tastes better with the sour cream - otherwise it's more of just a chunky salsa - the sour cream ties it all together. Add more or less if you'd like.

I do have plans to continue writing, I would love to get some sort of "theme" going with my blog - but I haven't decided what just yet.

Keep reading ladies and gents - the best is yet to come!
