Much luv fo ya, Ho.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments about my Mama coming home :)
I am really really excited. She wants to surprise the rest of our family so I'm supposed to keep my mouth shut - but I'm not sure she can. She wasn't even supposed to tell me, she said that she dreamed about surprising me at work or just showing up on my door step. That would have been so great - but I'm just glad she's coming back.

I just got a new exercise DVD from netflix yesterday - Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease Vol. 1. I'm excited to try that out tonight and then sit back and watch the last disc of season 4 of Sex and the City before I have to start my weekend of spring cleaning - and BOY do we need it! There is clutter everywhere!!! It will be nice though, like a fresh start - and plus - if we de-clutter now, we won't have to do it when we buy a house next year. Trav's got a whole bunch of collectible toys and cards that he's putting on Ebay for his poker fund - that's our main big project (besides the whole fuggin house) for this weekend.

I registered for my fall classes yesterday - I'm taking Financial Accounting as I promised my classmates on Monday's and then Ceramics on Tuesday's and Thursday's. I would have taken College English as well, but then I would be at school 4 evenings a week - because Ceramics is two nights a week. Also, I figured Financial Accounting should be difficult enough for me, so I need a relaxing class to take with it; College English would generate a lot of homework - and that combined with my retardedness in math = not a good idea.

I just think it's so great that I get to take these cool art classes - and it counts towards my degree! LOVE IT! I picked out some other sweet classes to take as well - like Theatre and Asian Philosophy - they count too!! School is cool.

I'm hungry, so I'm going to pick out somewhere to eat out for lunch, then go back and get Trav and blow this joint.

We out bitches!

P. S. I have to tell you about the pizza I made last night for dinner. I invented it myself - I am the best cook EVER!

I took one of those pre-made thin pizza crusts from Cub - basted it with olive oil and garlic, put on a thin layer of hummus, then spinach, tomatoes, feta cheese, garlic and carmelized onions (my mouth is watering!). Topped it with salt and pepper and parmesan cheese.

It was beautiful.

Wonderful News!!!

MAMA'S COMING HOME!!!

(But Shhh! It's supposed to be a surprise!)

After 4 years of being in Arizona and enduring unimaginable hardships, my mom is finally coming back!! This was the best news she could ever give me. We have been begging her since the day she left, to come back home. As soon as she told me she was leaving - I knew - I just KNEW it was a bad idea. I didn't even get to see her before she left. She told me on a Tuesday that she was leaving and she left that Saturday. These last 4 years have been so hard without her. I've only seen her 3 times in the last 4 years. Her stubbornness wouldn't let her break down and come back - she kept saying "it's too cold", " I have friends down here", "Don't worry, I'm fine." I can't wait to have her back in my life. I can't wait to be with her again - go shopping, watch movies, and just see her and hug her anytime I want.

Mother's Day wasn't bad for me, it didn't hit me until yesterday. I hadn't talked to my mom yet. I tried calling her on Sunday and on Monday - but I either kept missing her - or her phone was off. I was having a hard time yesterday - snapping at people at work, not talking because I was on the verge of tears, and I just couldn't let go of the stress build up in my chest. So I tried once more last night and that's when she gave me the good news. I made sure she wasn't joking or making false promises - then I just cried and cried.

Hopefully this will be the start to building a life back here in Minnesota. She should be coming up within the next few months.

I can't wait.

:)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day this weekend!

This is one of the hard ones for me.
Mother's Day and Christmas.
I talked to my Mom last night to get an address to send her Mother's Day card out. Even thought some things are better with her, at least the important things like being normal again and now she has a job. It's the little things - about how she's living. It just breaks my heart.

I never in my life imagined that things would be this way. I can't tell you how much it hurts me to even think about her. The whole situation just brings me to tears every time.

Last Mother's Day - I spent the ENTIRE day bawling. I cried so hard that I had little red spots all over my face. Poor Trav had no idea what to do - I was crying so hard that he was actually scared. He just held me like a baby and just let me cry and get my tears and snot all over his shoulder.

I just wanted to write about this today, first of all - to wish all of the Mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day - and second, to tell everyone to appreciate what they have - even if your mom is a nag or constantly annoys you, love her with everything you have. Appreciate every little thing, every hug, every shopping trip, even every time she's mad at you. You don't know what you've got until it's gone.

I would give anything right now to hug my Mom. I just want to lay in her bed with her and snuggle and watch a movie. I haven't seen her in almost 2 years.

This weekend we will be in Duluth - so maybe it will take my mind off of things. Otherwise I will be posting on Monday through puffy eyelids.

Cleansing the mind, body and .....bowels?

I was so tired on Saturday night I slept for 12 hours!!!! I haven't done that in SO long.
It was all because of the Animal Humane Society Walk for Animals on Saturday - Granny, Beeah, Chelsea and I walked the 5 miles all for the little furry ones.
I was really disappointed that Carmela couldn't go with, she has her semi-yearly period. Nice timing, Piggy.
We would have taken my Aunt's dog Ridge, but he pulls really really hard on the leash and I was the only one who wanted to take him. So I got out voted.
It was a blast nonetheless. Another plus is they serve the animal friendly vegetarian hotdogs - so I had two :)

While we were in the car on the way to the animal walk - there were these awesome songs on the radio - so we were all singing to them and passing a fake mic around the car for every part - yes we are nerds - but anyways, She's like the wind, by Patrick Swayze - you know the song from every girls favorite Dirty Dancing. Well, we were all singing it and acting out all of the words in movements (shut up - it was fun!) and we decided that we should make a music video of our "band" - singing and acting out the words to awesome 80's songs. Granny on lead vocals (for some songs - me for some others), Me on the drums/lead vocals, Beeah on the dorky keyboards and Chelsea on bass/accordion. I guess you had to be there - but it was the funniest thing in the whole world! And we even had a name : Granny and the girls. Love it!

Trav and I start our 7 day detox liver and colon cleanse today. Sounds exciting, huh? I know!
It's just this little kit that has two 7 day cleanses in it - one for me and one for him. It's not a liquid drink nor does it have any fasting involved. Just three sets of pills with fiber and cleansing properties that you take at various times in the day.
p.s you poo a lot.

We are cutting down our portions - a lot! It's been easier than I thought my portions are not that big to begin with - but it's still day one. This is something that Trav really wants to stick with. I'm helping him by doing it with him.

We are also starting our new nightly regime of : leg lifts, sit ups, push ups, wall sits, and some yoga (for me).
It only takes about 30 mins to get all this stuff done (cept the yoga) - and no tennies or clothing required. So it works for us. I'm still walking with Carmela everyday (she has to pee ya know) and doing yoga every other day.

We also took an hour yesterday to meditate. It was really fun and interesting. I didn't' think I would be able to clear my mind that much - but it totally worked! It's like a dream - but you are still awake. I also pictured things differently than I do in my dreams. Trav really goes deep. He has a special knack for meditating. It really helps him hone in on his thoughts and concentrate. He's a little on the psychic side - well a lot I think - and meditation helps him get on that wavelength - its seriously spooky how accurate his feelings and thoughts are.
Like yesterday - about an hour after we were done - out of the blue he says "The Kentucky Derby just popped into my head, I think the winner had the name Barbarosa." We tried to find something about it on TV, but there was nothing and we were both too lazy to go to the computer to find out. We kinda just forgot about it. So today, Trav buzzed me and says " Hey, I just looked up the Kentucky Derby - it was on Saturday - the winner's name was Barbaro".

CREEEPY!!!! Seriously - how do you explain that?

I bought two new books on meditation a couple weeks ago - I haven't' read all the way through them yet, but this stuff seriously interests us - it's fun and relaxing. While I was meditating - I saw Trav's baby picture (that was the only thing in color), and I saw an outline of a baby's face (kinda fuzzy like an ultrasound) then I saw a dove. and In between all of them I would see a tree. For about 10 seconds everything went white and my body started tingling and I saw a big white eye - and it blinked once really slowly - and that was it. Weird I know - but it was SO cool. I didn't expect anything my first time - I must be special :)

1st watercolor

This is my first watercolor painting. It doesn't really have a title - it's just a character that I'm starting to make a lot of.

I really suck at dimension - but that's something I can work on. I like it for the most part. I messed up a bit here and there - but that's what makes art - art!

Trav said it looks like a character from King of the Hill.

Now that I know what it's like to work with water colors - next, I'm going to try something with oil painting - then try to fill my now THREE blank canvases with SOMETHING.

Good news I found out - I was talking with people in school about next semesters classes, well it turns out that 5 other girls in my entrepreneurship class HAVE to take financial accounting (which everyone dreads) next semester - and it's only taught by one teacher - so we all vowed to take it together and be each other's study group. Most people wait to take that as their last class because it sucks so bad. It rocks that I'm taking it now and getting it out of the way.
I also went through all of my required classes that are needed to get my degree, I'm doing really good on those, actually two more semesters of three classes each and I will be finished. Then it's just getting all the general education credits finished, I only have 1 of those classes down. I'm actually looking forward to all of those classes, though - because I get to take a bunch of cool classes like astrology or theatre and it actually counts towards my degree! - but I'm going to focus on taking all the photography classes I can - and then I should have enough to get my photography certificate in addition to my A.A.S. Degree.
SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!
I was a little bummed out before, because sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about how long it will take me to finish - but now that I know I can take a bunch of cool different classes, learn new things, and have fun at the same time - it's really motivated me to keep it up.

Sushi Sunday!

Trav and I had a delicious time last night at the Mitch Hedberg Tribute show at the Orpheum Theatre.
The lineup was OUTSTANDING!
Dave Attel from Comedy Central's Insomniac, and Nick Swardson, whose been seen on Reno 911, appeared in the movies Grandma's boy and the newly released The Benchwarmers, both made me laugh so hard - literally ALL of my eye makeup had melted away - and I pretty much blacked out for a second or two.
Seriously EVERYONE was hilarious! We had a blast!

Before our night of laughs, Trav took me out to dinner at Benihana's where we each tried sushi for the first time! It was great! I didn't think Trav would like it because he's not a fan of fish in the first place - but he said he loved it and would defiantly eat it again.
Since we had never tried sushi before - it took us a while to order but we decided to try three different kinds of rolls: Vegetable Roll, California Roll and then we (Trav's suggestion) went for the Rainbow Roll.
When the first Roll came out - we figured it was the California Roll because of the avocado - but after we had eaten half the roll (because it was really really good), the guy behind the counter said that it was on the house because was supposed to go to a different table. We asked what it was and he said " Caterpillar Roll"
WTF is a Caterpillar Roll?!? So I looked it up on the menu and it was EEL!!!!
Trav didn't want to eat anymore after that - it creeped him out a bit that it was eel.
I liked it though, and ate the rest.
The real California roll was great, and Trav liked the Vegetable roll the best.
The Rainbow Rolls were a bit much for us first timers - but still good.
I wanna go back and try the other varieties!

Oh and just for fun I ordered a Mai Tai. Not doing that again, I only drank 3/4 of it and it wasn't safe for me to drive! Seriously STRONG!

Last week of school! Gotta study!
