Hey how are ya? it's been a while.....

Yes, I know I made a goal to post almost everyday, but I didn't have much to write about I guess.
I'm sick of writing about what I do everyday. It seems too boring. Even I don't like to read about what I do during the week.

I can't stand boring.

Luckily this weekend wasn't boring.
So I can write about it.

Stacy, Trav and I got free Olive Garden dinner on Friday night. We had to wait a long time for our food and the waiter was brand new - so we (Stacy) complained and we got it all for FREE. Free food just tastes so much better, you know what I mean?
Then we went to see Brokeback Mountain. Not so much of a compelling "love story" as everyone is pegging it.
It was very well shot though. Great scenery. By far.

Should Heath have won the Oscar? No. Did Phillip Seymour Hoffman (a.k.a. the guy from Along Came Polly whose most memorable line was "Dude, I just sharted.") deserve to win? Not so much. To me, someone who spends 36 days "in character" - completely living their life as someone else for an entire month - seems like they may be just a bit off.
I was hoping for Joaquin Phoenix. He was great. At least Reese Witherspoon won. They had to throw Walk the line a bone, it was a GREAT movie, but like John Stewart said "It's like Ray with white people." So they couldn't show a bias towards movies about musical icons. I understand, I guess.

We also purchased our new bed this weekend. We thought it was going to be such a daunting task - going from mattress store to mattress store, traveling to outlet stores, trying to remember which one was the most comfortable at each store. Needless to say we were dreading it - we kept putting it off and putting it off.
Saturday I decided that we needed to just start looking anyway - we stopped at this mattress place by our work and we found what we were looking for - immediately. It was awesome! Were are really relieved to have found it so quickly and very thankful that it was so easy. We took it home on Saturday and set it up. It is so much better for us than our old bed. It's about 6 inches taller though and Carmela has a hard time now getting on it. So we have to pick her up for now, but hopefully we can work out some sort of doggy step system for her to climb up on her own.

Maybe it's her new chubby belly that's holding her down :)
I still have to take pics of her new chunky self. Hee hee :) Actually I shouldn't say chubby, she's just normal looking now - instead of too skinny. It's so cute.

Saturday night, Trav stayed home and I went out to a little karaoke bar with Stacy and her Husband Matt. We were having sort of a last hurrah for Stace, since she won't be able to drink - at all - for 6 f-ing months!
Soooooo 5 drinks and 8 shots later, I was singing Prince's Pussy Control, and signing up to sing Bohemian Rhapsody. I didn't get to sing that though because the bar was closing and when I found out that I wasn't going to be able to sing again - I hit the Karaoke guy - but only because he said I could.
After we were done freaking out over our bar tabs, we went back to Stacy's house to pass out, but not before I "discarded my entire $60 bar tab" into Stacy's toilet. Nice.
Sunday was spent in bed.

It was all fun though.
